After an African breakfast of boiled peanuts and roasted corn, (who said breakfast in Africa was boring?) we are getting ready to head out to Mt. Elgon for the weekend.

“Dominating the sky-line of the Uganda-Kenya border, Mount Elgon is the eighth highest mountain in Africa and has the largest base area of any freestanding volcano in the world (Boy & Allan, 1988).”
As you may remember from my previous prayer requests, we are doing a crusade up in the mountains. We will be making the long climb up today, Friday. I’ll be preaching on Saturday for sure but may be preaching Friday night as well. I’m never completely sure of what’s going on at what time until it happens…but I’m pretty sure they aren’t clear about that in advance either. It’s been 40 years since I’ve done something like this! Not exactly how I pictured reliving my youth….
I’ll update you on all the fun once I get back down the mountain safely. 🙂
